A fun fact about you

I know very - and sometimes embarrassingly - little about movies. Like, who's Chewbacca? I had to Google that just to write it down for you. So no, I've never seen Star Wars or The Matrix, but I do have seen Pocahontas and Mulan over and over again (I'm pretty into Disney movies).

Your favourite style of Mme L'Ovary undies

The Shorty! They're classic, but almost all my other undies have the same cut (I like comfy and somewhat boyish styles).

A fun fact about Mme L'Ovary

Our first order of undies from our partner in Colombia: 11 boxes (today, we do over 100!). And we had to carry them up to the third floor of an apartment building because, yes, Mme L'Ovary started in an apartment. The living room was so crowded, we couldn't move. Let's just say that over the last few years, we've been sweating a lot, we've laughed a lot, and we've even cried a lot.

Your favourite kit

The Basic Kit! The Shorty for comfort, the Bikini for a more feminine look, and the Nighty for sleeping peacefully and dreaming wildly. It's really this trio that gives me a sense of liberty. It's a perfect kit for travelling and also for just chilling around the house

A fun fact about Mme L'Ovary

I was the first person on the team to become a mother. That's had a big impact on my life (of course), but also on the importance Mme L'Ovary places on people who are going through postpartum depression or who have seen their body transform after motherhood. I'm kind of like the voice of moms for our content and products!

Your favourite kit

The Basic Kit for me, too. Every time my period comes around, I'm so relieved to know I have everything I need right at home. It's such a mental relief and, most importantly, it's super comfortable. I rediscover and cherish my kit every month. :) The Post-Partum Kit came later, so if you've given birth (or are close to it), check it out. It fits perfectly with the MAXI pads.

Why do you like working at Mme L'Ovary?

Being part of the L'Ovary team is more than just a professional experience for me. It also means being surrounded by intelligent, inspiring and sensitive women. It means enjoying a healthy environment in which I can show myself to be both strong and vulnerable. It means giving a voice to the frustrated feminist in me. ;) It's participating in an important cause, which is the destigmatization of menstruation (experienced by half the planet, yo!!). It means helping the women around me to quietly take back their power. In the end, it's nothing less than helping to make the world a little better every day. And that's really rewarding.

Your favorite pair of Mme L'Ovary panties?

As an active person, I fell in love with the Boxy! Comfortable and discreet (even under leggings), it's the model that goes with me from the beginning to the end of my period, and I even wear them sometimes when I'm not menstruating, because I love them so much.

Why do you like working for Mme L'Ovary?

I find it funny that we have to whisper to each other when asking for a tampon (which isn't so much of a problem when it comes to menstrual undies 😉). Um, hello? We'll be menstruating for 40 years of our lives. Can we bleed in peace and without shame? We've learned to hide our blood, to swallow our menstrual pain. For me, working for Mme L'Ovary is more than just selling underwear. It's all about co-creating a safe space to talk about menstruation without whispering so we can take back control of our cycles.

Your favourite style of Mme L'Ovary undies and any accessories you use

The Highty, with no hesitation! Its retro style makes me feel gorgeous and confident (yes, that's possible even when you're on your period). Anyone who's worn them knows they're basically a snug hug around your stomach and lower back. I'm also a fan of the Goddess herbal tea. I drink 1 litre of it a day when I'm on my period, and the herbs soothe my cramps. Long live nature!
